Preventions and Treatments

Like any other time of the year, no one wants to have to handle an influx of pests, especially inside your home. Here are some ways to continue to keep your home pest-free.

  • Keep up with household chores– Maintaining a clean environment throughout your home is important. Keep up with vacuuming,  wiping down tables and countertops, keeping rooms clutter-free on a day-to-day, if not every day, then every other day basis.
  • Prevent pest hiding spaces  – It’s important to keep your home clean and clutter-free,  as there can be spaces that pests can use to sustain themselves. Storing food in airtight containers and hard-to-reach places will help keep pests out of your food. Additionally, make sure you’re spending time cleaning less-traveled spaces like basements and attics. This helps prevent pests like spiders from having hiding spots to live in.
  • Schedule pest inspections – Scheduling a pest inspection can make a whole difference! Technicians are able to inspect for entry points and be able to determine how to handle any pest activity that is happening.
  • Continue pest control treatments – One of the most important things is to continue having a pest control treatment done! While our primary focus is treating indoors, we still apply products outside. The difference is that we’re using dust products in cracks and crevices and a hand sprayer is used around windows and doors. We still de-web and provide ground-level seal-ups. This maintains the barrier around your home and will help prevent an influx of activity when the warm season begins again.
